Practical Communications Workshops
A strong workshop should do three things: inspire, teach and give students the chance to practise new skills.
My workshops are built around clear learning outcomes and practical exercises that help students apply what they’ve learned in realistic situations. The focus is on developing communication, commercial thinking and professional confidence that students can use during their studies and in the early stages of their careers or ventures.
I bring examples and insights from a 30-year career in marketing, communications and entrepreneurship, working with global brands as well as building several businesses of my own.
Workshops are always designed with the programme team and can be delivered as standalone sessions or as part of larger projects.
Typical subjects include pitching, presentations, storytelling, filmmaking, finding your first sale, LinkedIn, decision-making and building a new business.
If you’d like to discuss a workshop for your programme or student project, feel free to get in touch.
I provide presentation skills workshops and rehearsals for all the student teams taking part in this brilliant programme. Click on the image to find out more about the Business Consultancy Project.
All the initial applicants go through my filmmaking workshop and the finalists take part in my presentation masterclasses. Click on the image to find out more about the Venture Competition.
I work with students from every year from the Theatre, Festival, and Event Production Course. I help them develop the communication and presentation skills they will need in their careers.
"Andrew delivers relevant, interactive (and often entertaining!) workshops that consistently receive excellent feedback from our students. They particularly rate the way they can immediately apply what they have learned. Andrew also provides individual mentoring for students on our incubator programme and has successfully helped several of them apply and pitch in start-up competitions."

All 1st year students at King’s Business School have to make a film to complete their ethics and sustainability module. Here is a short clip from the 4 part series I wrote and filmed for them.
My workshop slides are designed to capture students imagination and communicate new ideas. Here are a few from a recent pitching workshop.
